Vidyakul has raised $2.8M in seed funding, a bet on the growing demand for exam prep tailored to India’s state board students. The company, which focuses on Class 12 preparation, pairs video lessons, study notes, and sample papers built from a decade of past exam analysis and NCERT material.
The round’s backers weren’t disclosed, but the capital arrives as edtech startups shift toward regional and vernacular learning needs. Vidyakul’s pitch is straightforward: free enrollment, with content designed by academic experts who’ve reverse-engineered what actually shows up on tests. Whether that’s enough to stand out in a crowded field remains to be seen, but the seed funding gives it room to scale its offerings.
