TTM Technologies has acquired Epiq Solutions for $1.1 billion in an all-cash transaction. The deal, which has been approved by both companies’ boards, brings the privately held developer of radio frequency (RF) sensing tools under TTM’s manufacturing umbrella. Epiq Solutions will operate as a distinct business unit within TTM’s aerospace and defense segment.
Epiq Solutions specializes in compact software-defined radio (SDR) transceiver modules and turnkey RF sensing systems used for situational awareness and wireless threat identification. Its products, known for their small size, low weight, and minimal power draw, serve government and defense clients in applications ranging from battlefield communications to signal intelligence. TTM Technologies, a major producer of printed circuit boards and radio frequency components, supplies the defense, aerospace, and data center markets.
The acquisition is driven by TTM’s push to expand its high-reliability RF product portfolio. By integrating Epiq’s design and engineering capabilities with its own manufacturing scale, TTM aims to offer more complete RF solutions to its existing defense customers. Epiq’s technology also complements TTM’s current antenna and subsystem offerings, allowing the combined entity to address a broader range of mission-critical requirements.
For Epiq Solutions, the deal provides access to TTM’s global production network and supply chain resources, which could accelerate the deployment of its sensing tools in larger defense programs. TTM expects the acquisition to contribute to its aerospace and defense revenue stream immediately, with cost savings from shared infrastructure and procurement anticipated over the next two years.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the upcoming fiscal year, subject to regulatory approvals. Post-close, TTM plans to retain Epiq’s engineering team and maintain its existing product roadmap, while gradually aligning manufacturing processes with TTM’s quality standards. The combined business will focus on delivering integrated RF systems for defense and security customers, with an emphasis on reducing time-to-market for new sensing capabilities.
